Scott joined Axio in January 2016 and leads the accounting, administrative and company secretarial services for clients across a range of industries, alongside detailed and technical transactional work.
In relation to clients’ prospective acquisitions, Scott has worked directly alongside the clients’ board of directors, lawyers, NOMAD and other professional advisers, taking responsibility for all financial aspects of a prospectus for UK listings including historical financial information (under both IFRS and US GAAP), pro forma disclosures and capital & indebtedness disclosures in addition to ensuring that the company secretarial and other administration aspects of the acquisition are effectively managed.
Scott’s experience includes the analysis of, and compliance with, various regulations covering AIFMD (Annex IV Reporting), MiFID II (transaction reporting and preparation of the European MiFID Templates) and PRIIPs (calculation and preparation of Key Information Documents). The models developed in-house to calculate the complex performance scenarios required under PRIIPs have also been used to provide calculation services to external listed funds.
Previously Scott worked in exotic derivatives middle office roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Barclays Capital, covering the complex interest rate options and emerging market structured credit desks. He started his career in financial services assurance specialising in the asset management industry at Ernst & Young, working in Jersey and Melbourne. Scott is a CFA®charterholder, ICAS qualified Chartered Accountant, ICSA qualified Chartered Secretary and holds a Masters degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
