Flo initially joined Axio in 2016, and after spending 18 months working in a corporate services environment at a different firm, returned in 2020 as a Senior Manager in the funds team, responsible for the Marwyn group of funds including the closed-ended investment company listed on the Specialist Fund Segment of the London Stock Exchange.
Across the Marwyn funds structure, Flo is central to the analysis, financial reporting and operations of the funds, including cash flow management, capital rationing and financial forecasting and modelling. Flo’s roles include the management of fund service providers and advisors, financial reporting (spanning review of the weekly NAV production to preparation of listed-company statutory accounts), company secretarial and administration support, unlisted investment valuation, data analysis, treasury functions, tax and regulatory reporting, providing a full spectrum suite of services.
Flo is a qualified chartered accountant, chartered company secretary, and holds a degree in Psychology from Durham University, starting her career in financial services assurance at Ernst & Young.
Flo’s previous experience includes the administration, company secretary and accounting support for AIM- and Main Market listed clients, multi-jurisdictional retail and real estate portfolios, and high-net worth individuals, managing various processes from FSCP cross-border consolidations and audit under IFRS, the development of tailored internal control frameworks and policies and procedures for clients in the REIT and retail sectors, day to day support to the client CFO for operational and treasury matters, initial public offerings, and corporate restructuring transactions.
From a compliance and regulatory perspective, Flo has experience in AIFMD reporting (Annex IV), risk assessments and development of strategy in response of new legislation for the prevention of the facilitation of tax evasion, and compliance with a range of corporate governance codes, including the AIC Code for Investment Companies, the UK Corporate Governance Code and the QCA Code.
